--Gini Bett was originally schooled in textile painting at the Institute of Art in Des Moines, Iowa. After graduation from the institute, Gini taught textile painting in Wisconsin and Oregon for eleven years. Later Gini became interested in oil painting and took an oil painting course through The Faculty Wives Club at University of Michigan, taught by Dr. Pallozza. Gini’s interest in art continued when she and her husband, Virgil, retired to Lexington, Michigan. As Gini said, he sailed and she painted. Gini received instruction in watercolor from talented artists in Florida as well as at out local St Clair Community College in Port Huron, Michigan. Gini’s choice of medium is watercolor with which She creates colorful landscapes, birds and florals.
