Irene Murphy: Serigraph and Pen and Ink

---Irene Murphy nourished her love of art by attending St. Clair Community College. There she obtained an Associates Degree in Advertising Design. During her time at St Clair, her
exploration of color and design sparked an interest in silk screening techniques.
Her personal artistic interests were put on hold while she followed a career in advertising. Eventually, Irene desired an opportunity to focus on her own artistic development and style. She left advertising to pursue those goals. Irene currently creates serigraphs, which are fine art prints created by silk screening, which she calls realistically abstract. Irene is also skilled with the use of geometrics, which she utilizes, in her architecturally inspired pen and ink
compositions.

Norma Stapleton: Watercolor and Acrylic

---Norma Stapleton loved drawing cartoons as a child and hoped to become a cartoonist when she grew up. Unfortunately, she didn’t get a chance to reach that goal. However, when she was in her late 40’s Norma took a painting class through Community
Education at Cros-Lex High School and discovered oils. Norma not only paints in oils but also in watercolor. Now that she winters in Florida, she finds herself painting florals
using watercolor down south and then returning to oils for landscapes and seascapes in
Michigan. She enjoys both media equally.

Maureen Mo Young: Watercolor and Pastel

---Maureen’s first memories of artistic awareness came with the appreciation of art
created by her mother and aunt. As time went by, it became obvious that several
members of her family possessed the talent to express themselves through a variety of media. Mo discovered watercolor when she took her first class from Edna Kreichelt. In addition, Maureen studied with Nita Engle and Helga Flower all of whom are highly
respected Michigan artists. The watercolor and pastel paintings created by Maureen capture the essence of Michigan flora and fauna in still life, landscapes or waterscapes. Maureen feels inspired by the beauty of God’s creations and enjoys using her talents as a
representation of his blessings.
